The Spring Running Sponsors

We are pleased to acknowledge the sponsorship of the following individuals and organizations, in support of The Spring Running. Their contributions are critical to the accomplishment of our goals in education, stewardship, environmental health and economic opportunity. The leadership they show is appreciated, as is your patronage of these community-minded groups and businesses.

Atlantic Sturgeon: $500 and above

For those who want to be a really big fish in a small pond. Donors at this level may be large and powerful but they like to keep a low profile. When we do see them, however, they make a big splash.

  *  The Marketplace at Augusta
  *  Time and Tide Resource Conservation and Development Area
  *  Maine Coastal Program, Office of State Planning

Atlantic Salmon: $250 to $499

For those who just won't give up on the idea of making their community better. Donors at this level are highly prized. They literally swim up-current and overcome all obstacles to reach their intended objectives.

  *  Kennebec Savings Bank
  *  Uncle Henrys

American Shad: $100 to $249

For those whose steady dependability allows others to count on them year after year. Donors at this level, like the other Herring species, tend to be taken for granted. Yet they make up the majority of the fish in the river. Though they are individually smaller, the contributions they make, when taken together, signify a healthy fishery.

  *  Augusta Print Shop
  *  Nate Gray, Freeport
  *  Augusta Fuel Company

Rainbow Smelt: up to $99

For those who want to break the ice with a small contribution. Donors at this level sometimes stay on the sidelines but when they see something they like, they jump at it.
