Atlantic Salmon: $1000 and above
The Atlantic salmon has fought hard to prevent from becoming extinct; it is a prized catch, and yet very vulnerable to changes in its environment. Sponsors and donors at this level won't give up on the idea of making their community better and realize that they often have to “swim up-current and overcome all obstacles” in order to reach their objectives.

American Shad: $500 and above
A spectacular fighting fish, the American shad traditionally played a strong role in the ecology of the Kennebec, and as food for natives and settlers of the region. Shad are making a great comeback in the Kennebec River, thanks to strong conservation efforts, and the removal of the Edwards Dam. Sponsors and donations at this level play a key role in helping to keep the festival going, step by step.
